How do I track crypto across multiple wallets?
List each wallet and its holdings separately, then add them up for your total. Use blockchain explorers to double-check balances. Clarity can connect to exchanges via API and read wallet balances on-chain automatically.
Should I track staking rewards as income or gains?
The IRS treats staking rewards as ordinary income at the fair market value when you receive them. Record them as income. Your cost basis in those tokens is whatever they were worth when they hit your wallet, which matters for future capital gains math.
How do I account for impermanent loss in DeFi?
Compare the value of what you deposited to the current value of your LP position. The difference (after accounting for fees earned) is your real return. Impermanent loss only becomes permanent when you actually withdraw from the pool.
